Silver Screen Magic

So I'm watching a movie On Demand right now called The Malibu Bikini Shop (1986). Here's the premise: Two brothers - Allen, a recent business school grad, and Todd, a get-a-life beach bum - inherit their aunt's Malibu Bikini shop after she tragically dies in a drunken jet-skiing accident. Allen wants to sell the Bikini Shop and its adjunct properties so he can return to his fiance in Chicago, but Todd wants to milk the shop for all it's worth (for example, installing two-sided mirrors in the dressing room so he can watch the customers change). As you can imagine, hilarity ensues.

Tons of boobage. Tons of awesome 80's montages. Etc.

Sounds awesome, right? But wow, what an epic failure of execution. In the right hands this could've been the definitive comedy of the 80's, but the acting, writing, production, directing - everything - is so fucking piss-poor it makes you want to hit yourself in the head with the teeth end of a hammer.

Anyway, about 2/3's of the way through the movie there's a scene in which one of the bikini shop girls puts on a fashion show. Hands down, it is the most absurd 4 minutes in the history of film.

And God bless the glory of youtube, it's freely available for the world's viewing pleasure. Enjoy:
